WASDE US Annual Ending Stocks of Corn
July 13, 2020
The latest July 2020 WASDE report released last Friday had the corn new crop ending stocks estimate decline from 3.32 billion bushels in June to 2.65 billion bushels. The trade estimate was for 2.72 billion bushels. The report was considered bullish to prices as the actual value, 2.65 billion bushels, was lower than the trade estimate of 2.72 billion bushels, but prices collapsed with the reports of coronavirus cases spiking and lack of completion of the US-China tariff agreement.
